Maine has established a 2030 goal of having 8,000 megawatts (MW) of installed wind energy capacity, including 5,000 MW of offshore wind power. Based on recommendations of the Governor's Ocean Energy Task Force, the new law also sets up a policy encouraging the state to transition from fossil fuel to electricity. More
