Recovery Act Helps to Fund Transmission Line for Montana Wind Power

DOE is helping the development of wind power in Montana by supporting a transmission line that runs from Great Falls, Montana, to Alberta, Canada. Recovery Act funds will back $161 million in loans for the project, which is expected to spark the development of a new 300-megawatt wind project. More

DOE Funds Clean Energy Projects on Tribal Lands and Alaska Villages

DOE announced on August 13 its award of up to $13.6 million in multi-year funding for new clean energy projects on tribal lands. In addition to the Alaskan villages, the funding will go to tribes and in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin. Obama Administration Awards More than $153 Million for State Energy Programs in Seven States and Territories

DOE delivered more than $153 million in Recovery Act funding on July 6 to support energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, New York, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The funding was awarded under DOE's State Energy Program. More
