DOE Funds Clean Energy Projects on Tribal Lands and Alaska Villages
DOE announced on August 13 its award of up to $13.6 million in multi-year funding for new clean energy projects on tribal lands. In addition to the Alaskan villages, the funding will go to tribes and in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin. DOE Awards $454 Million for Clean Energy in 18 States
The states of Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Virginia, Washington. and West Virginia have received $454 million in Recovery Act funds through DOE's State Energy Program.
