DOE Awards $45 Million for a Wind Turbine Test Facility in South Carolina

DOE has selected Clemson University as the recipient of $45 million in Recovery Act funds to launch a test facility for utility-scale wind turbines. The South Carolina facility will be able to test the drivetrains of wind turbines as large as 15 megawatts in capacity. More
