DOE Delivers $38 Million to Four States for Clean Energy

DOE has granted more than $38 million in Recovery Act funds to Alaska, Kansas, Utah, and West Virginia to support each state's energy efficiency priorities. The awards are part of DOE's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant program. More

West Virginia Governor Proposes Renewable Portfolio Standard

The governor of West Virginia has introduced a bill to the state legislature that would require 25 percent of the electricity sold to retail customers to be generated from alternative and renewable energy sources by 2025. The Alternative and Renewable Energy Portfolio Act aims to meet the state's energy needs, create jobs, and improve the environment. More
